VMS must be certified according to UNE-EN 12966-1:2006+A1:2010 standard, the only harmonised version in Europe and certifiable by accredited bodies. This regulation guarantees photometric, chromatic, durability and safety requirements. We certify our signs under this standard, ensuring legal compliance for installations on roads and motorways, with mandatory CE marking for commercialisation in the European Union.

Currently there are no mandatory regulations in the EU, although there are recommended standards that are expected to become mandatory: IEC-62443 (security in industrial control systems and products) and ISO-27001 (information security management and infrastructure). We implement preventive measures based on these standards to ensure protection against cyber threats in critical ITS systems.

DEVA is our next-generation Variable Message Sign product line. DEVA 5G-VX Full Matrix technology offers displays with 16.7 million colours, 5G connectivity, remote management, TrueType fonts and animations. Compatible with DGT, DGT+, NTCIP and Modbus protocols, it combines maximum visibility, low energy consumption and intelligent architecture for remote incident detection.

SAGO is our range of LED illuminated traffic signs designed for maximum visibility in adverse conditions (rain, fog, direct sunlight). It includes fixed and variable speed limit signs, cross/arrow signs, mountain pass signs and concealed signs for specific messages. Integrated into ITS systems, they enable automatic alert activation according to context, contributing to dynamic and intelligent signage adapted to the environment.

5G-VX technology is our proprietary fifth-generation platform for VMS, developed in 2015. It integrates advanced connectivity, intelligent remote management, Full Matrix displays with 16.7 million colours and modular architecture. The "VX" suffix represents "Variable eXtended", expanding capabilities over previous generations. It does not refer to 5G mobile networks, but to our internal technological evolution.

All signs come with a library of standardised pictograms according to the DGT Variable Signage Manual (danger warning, congestion, roadworks, accidents, weather, etc.). Additionally, custom pictograms can be incorporated according to specific project needs: sporting events, corporate signage or special applications, maintaining readability and current regulations.

The LED type used is THT (Through-Hole Technology), being the most suitable for outdoor installations with direct sunlight exposure. Its main features are: greater mechanical resistance to vibrations, optimal thermal dissipation in extreme conditions, ease of field repair and replacement, and longer lifespan in harsh environments with continuous UV radiation exposure.

Class C1 defines stricter chromatic coordinates according to EN 12966 standard, ensuring purer and more distinguishable colours. C1 offers greater chromatic precision than C2, ensuring optimal readability under high direct sunlight conditions and oblique viewing angles. It is especially recommended for installations at mid-high latitudes where solar incidence significantly affects colour perception.

Amber colour is achieved using direct-emission monochromatic LEDs that employ AlInGaP (Aluminum Indium Gallium Phosphide) semiconductor materials. These chips emit directly at the amber wavelength (590-595 nm), ensuring chromatic purity, stability and strict compliance with the EN 12966 standard, essential for approved road signage.

Although we offer specific product models for each design and manufacturing solution, it is essential to know the mounting system and support dimensions, the communication system to be used, and the type of power supply required.

This information is necessary prior to manufacturing the sign, as it allows us to deliver a fully tailored solution that perfectly meets the needs of both the client and the installation team.

Yes, Fixalia designs and manufactures customised signs adapted to specific requirements: special dimensions, matrix configurations (pixels), luminance level according to location, power supply (mains/solar/hybrid), communication protocols and mounting (gantry, lateral, portable). Each project is developed complying with EN 12966 standard and the client's technical specifications.
